I am a British Artist and have been painting and exhibiting artwork from an early age and I am now working professionally as an artist. Having initially studied Graphic Design at Jacob Kramer Art College in Leeds, I am fundamentally self-taught.

I am also currently artist in residence at RHS Harlow Carr, Harrogate. See below:

Over the years, and while continuing to work, I have painted on a part-time basis and achieved success at numerous events such as:

Runner up in the Bockingford Millennium Competition
Winner of the British Watercolour Societies Rexel prize
Winner of the British Watercolour Societies Thames and Hudson prize
Runner up in the Art in Nature competition hosted by Artist’s & Illustrator’s magazine
Winner of the Daler-Rowney award at Patchings Art Centre
Winner of The Clairefontaine Award

3rd Place in Fusion Arts annual City Landscapes exhibition

I started painting in watercolours in a representational and exacting style covering landscapes throughout the world. I have tutored art courses in Snowdonia, Wales and in County Clare, Ireland and have taught at the local primary school on a voluntary basis. I currently volunteer at a local Nursing Home for the elderly and those with mobile impairment.

I run my own small, private gallery, The Frog Bank Gallery in Northern England, where I exhibit my work. I also have paintings nationally selling through Whitewall Galleries who boast over 40 galleries in the UK and The Chantry House Gallery, Ripley. I had my work accepted to show at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours exhibition in April 2017 held in the magnificent Mall Galleries, London. My first foray abroad was in October 2017 when I had two paintings hung in the Carrousel de Louvre, Paris.

My style now has a looser more contemporary quality. I paint in all mediums, specialising primarily in oil and acrylic landscapes. My current love of all things Venetian has inspired a collection of works depicting scenes in Venice which has all but sold out. Commissions of Venice are happily accepted.
